Join the world premiere of Larapinta: End to End, an inspiring documentary supported by National Assistance Card, on October 1st at Hobart Town Hall.
The National Assistance Card is proud to support Larapinta: End to End, an inspiring documentary that follows a group of adventurers as they tackle the rugged and breathtaking Larapinta Trail. This incredible film captures the team's journey as they push both physical and mental boundaries, showcasing the power of resilience, teamwork, and community support.
The team includes a diverse group of individuals, some of whom live with disabilities, such as Paul Pritchard, an author and adventurer who sustained a traumatic brain injury in 1998, and Paul Allen, a furniture designer and comedian living with a brain injury. Both are proud National Assistance Card holders, using their experiences to challenge perceptions and inspire others.
The team included:
- Paul Pritchard – Author, adventurer, and disability educator.
- Paul Allen – Furniture designer, author, and comedian, living with a brain injury.
- Walter Van Praag – Writer and adventurer, living with cystic fibrosis.
- Vonna Keller – Registered nurse and lung cancer survivor.
- Conrad Wansbrough – Safety manager and support member.
- Melinda Oogjes – Disability advocate and support member.
The expedition was truly a collaborative effort, with a mix of adventurers and support members who all played crucial roles in the success of the journey.
After two years in the making, Larapinta: End to End will have its world premiere on 1st October at the Town Hall Ballroom, Hobart, at 5:30 pm. This anticipated film, presented by World Expeditions, MOUNTAIN EQUIPMENT, National Assistance Card, and St.Lukes Health, highlights the powerful role of community support and perseverance in achieving the extraordinary.
